Description

Overview
Grant's Uflex underfloor heating system is embedded into the floor construction and is designed for installation during the building phase. The pipework is clipped into place after insulation and membrane installation, then covered with a flow screed. The screed typically dries in up to 30 days, allowing underfloor heating to be integrated without delaying construction. Uflex is suitable for single new-build projects, extensions and larger multi‑property developments.

Features & benefits
  • Multiple installation options
  • Designed for new builds and extensions
  • Unique edge insulation to minimise heat loss
  • Faster drying with flow screed (up to 30 days) compared with solid screed
  • High efficiency when paired with a Grant Aerona R290 heat pump
  • Operates at lower flow temperatures suited to heat pumps
  • Individual zone control possible
  • Easy installation with clipped pipework
  • Stainless steel manifold included
  • Maintains stable room temperature
  • 25-year guarantee on pipework only
  • Preserves wall space by eliminating radiators
  • Reduced air circulation and dust transfer compared to radiators

Screeded system
After securing the Uflex pipework and installing the manifold (with pressure test), a screed is applied to a typical thickness of 75 mm and left to dry. No heat should be applied and no traffic allowed on the floor during drying. Using a flow or sand/cement screed shortens drying time compared with solid screed systems.

Unique edge insulation
Grant's Uflex includes a self-adhesive edging strip with a skirt design that curves alongside the wall. The strip contains and seals the screed, reduces heat loss at wall junctions and permits floor expansion.

Quick reaction time
The system is intended for continuous operation with the screed acting as a thermal store. Typical setpoint changes (for example 17℃ to 21℃) are met by the manifold and controls which regulate water temperature and flow rate to satisfy demand.

Ideal for pairing with a Heat Pump
Uflex is optimised for low flow temperatures and is highly efficient when paired with a heat pump system.

Manifold & guarantee
The system includes a stainless steel manifold. A 25-year guarantee covers the pipework only.
