Polyurethane foam sculpture Bocca®

As if in a fairy taie, the Gufram icons hâve become smaller and hâve now turned into Guframini®! The most radical Italian design company has just revealed some brand new créations for its fans: miniatures of the Bocca®, Cactus® and Pratone® designed in a 1:8 scale; the new miniatures perfectly reproduce the smallest details of the famous domestic sculptures exhibited in the world's leading muséums. "The history of Guframini is actually the history of a beautiful obsession!" says Charley Vezza, Gufam's CEO and Global Creative Orchestrator. ’We worked on this project for four years: we wanted these objects to be identical to their elder brothers. I know that people might think that producing miniatures might be easier than producing the real thing, but it is not. For example, in the first prototypes of the small Cactus you could see a junction created by the mold, a line which the original one doeas not hâve; to get rid of that details we had to work on a new production technique and patent it! Now, our Guframini are not just simple reproduction but they are actual products with their own soûl; they are small sexy furniture pièces full of personality. Guframini® are in fact, made with molds that faithfully reproduce Bocca®, Cactus® and Pratone®: each "mini" création is made of polyuréthane foam which is injected into the mold which has previously been painted so to get, through a state-of-the-art method, a unique piece wich is identical to the original one: the same softness, same colors and same details.
