Overview
The 1-1/8" Glass Walls Platform by 4SPACE is a component-based single-glazed glass wall system engineered for architectural interiors. Rails are supplied to be cut to fit on-site for maximum installation flexibility. The system provides slim profiles and seamless transitions to define space with openness and precision while enabling efficient design, delivery and installation workflows.

System Fundamentals
Top and bottom rails are 2-1/2" (63.55 mm) high for visually light attachments to the base building. Removable clads provide quick access to glass levelers and are available on the bottom and starter rail. Glazing strips adhere to glass with adhesive, creating a segmented glass aesthetic and may be applied horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Glazing strips are manufactured in 10' (3048 mm) lengths and are cut to fit on-site.

Starter Rail

• Allows mounting glass walls to drywall.
• Includes a removable clad for simplified installation access.

Curved Glass

• Curved rail sections available in nominal radii: 24" (609.6 mm), 30" (762 mm) and 36" (914.4 mm).
• Accommodates laminated glass from 3/8" (10 mm) up to 1/2" (12 mm) with a 0.030" (0.76 mm) inner layer.

Doors — Key Notes
Swing and sliding doors support varied applications and aesthetics. Typical provisions include:

• Glass Slab (Swing): Optional concealed closer, optional drop seal. Door Height up to 10' (3048 mm); Leaf Widths: 36" (914 mm), 42" (1067 mm), 48" (1219 mm); Glass Thickness: 3/8" (10 mm).
• Framed Single Glazed (Swing): Optional concealed closer, optional drop seal; glass set off-center for a flush corridor appearance; Door Height up to 10' (3048 mm); Door Thickness 1-3/4" (45 mm); Leaf Widths 36", 42", 48"; Glass Thickness: 3/8" (10 mm) or 1/2" (12 mm).
• Sliding Doors (Glass Slab and Framed): Standard close assist; optional drop seals and interlocking bypass side seals; dimensions vary by configuration (door heights to 10' / 3048 mm).

Hardware — Key Notes

• Non-Locking Ladder Pull: Tubular design, 1" (25.4 mm) diameter, 18" (457 mm) overall length; available for all door leaf types.
• Locking Ladder Pull: Asymmetric locking ladder pull with ADA thumbturn, floor dead bolt, SFIC housing; 1" diameter; 49-3/16" (1250 mm) overall length; available on all door leaf types.
• Cylinder Lock: Cylindrical lever lockset functionality for framed single glazed and glass slab swing doors; key-in-lock or SFIC options; patch housing finished to match door rails.
• Mortise Latchset: Wide range of functions and lever styles for framed single glazed doors.
• Electric Strike: Available with black or silver strike plate; requires field coordination of electrical hookup.

Transitions
Transitions maintain visual continuity while meeting planning requirements. Options include inline glazing connectors for glass runs, 2-way variable-angle connectors (90°–180°), and 3-way connectors for glass-to-glass fly-by conditions. Transitions accommodate glass-to-solid wall interfaces and allow single glazing to be installed inline or centered when transitioning.

Materials & Finishes
Select from a full architectural palette of trims and metal finishes, clear glass options and wall hardware materials for cohesive project expression. Trim finishes include light bronze and other metal finishes; glass options include clear glass in multiple thicknesses.

The platform is engineered for dependable service in demanding interiors. Acoustic performance (single glazed): STC 37 (tested per ASTM E90 / classified per ASTM E413).
