Inspired by Hisle’s expertise and the world of fine leatherwork, PICO introduces leather for the first time into the brand’s collections, crafted with refined saddle-stitch finishing. Resulting from a meticulous exploration of volume through folding, the lampshade evokes a luminous origami. At once supple and structured, it is enhanced by a slender metal stem and base in a pared-back composition. Early in his career, he collaborated with designer Marc Berthier, an experience that deeply shaped his vision and sparked his passion for combining technical precision with formal sensitivity. His creations are timeless, functional, and emotionally resonant— objects that tell a story while remaining structurally clear and accessible. Driven by a fascination with craftsmanship, Lecointre explores traditional techniques with rigor, reinterprets them with creativity, and highlights their expressive potential. His design approach is guided by authenticity and pragmatism: each piece is conceived for real use, in close dialogue with its environment and the people who interact with it.
