Vase 250 mm grey/clear 2015 marks 100 years since the birth of Tapio Wirkkala. To honour the great designer, Iittala is highlighting some of Wirkkala's designs, including the Ovalis vase. Wirkkala designed the Ovalis vase for Iittala in 1958 and the vases have been in production in different sizes in 1959-1966 and 1977 onward The Ovalis vase highlights the optical qualities of glass. It is ideal for many different flowers. The mouth-blown vase is now available as a special-edition to celebrate the centenary. Ovalis vases will bear an engraving to mark the centenary and will only be available in 2015.
