Iksel’s Aleppo Rumi collection is inspired by one of the oldest wood paneled rooms in the Orient. It was originally in a house called Beit Wakil in 17th century Aleppo. The scenes were commissioned by a wealthy Christian Armenian broker, Isa Bin Butros. He employed a Persian artist, Hallab Shaban, to create beautiful and rich scenes of Persian style together with Ottoman motifs. In the late 19th Century the panels were bought by a German collector and are now housed in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin.
It is sold by panels of 90 cm width and in 5 standard heights : 225cm, 255cm, 275cm, 300cm, 325cm
It is available in 2 standard color options: Gouache and Pop as well as in custom size & color.
In standard height 325cm the full decor is 17,1 m long without repetition. As the majority of our decors, this decor loops. This means that last panel of each decor finishes where the first panel begins. As a consequence, you can start with any panel you want, and stop where you need.
