A sparkling forest of legs supports a majestic block of wood with strong, lively outlines. Il Pezzo 8 Black Table shows its black and gold colors as an eclectic, elegant match you can loose yourself in. It is romantic, sinuous and light and at the same time solid, rich and imposing. The tabletop, with its organic shape, is crafted from 7 cm of thick solid walnut with beautiful gold-plated brass inlays that add a touch of radiance to the surface. The top is smoothed and left as natural in order to appreciate the beauty and flow of the wood. The final treatment is done with natural oil that protects the wood but at the same time lets it breathe and leaves the extraordinary feel of this beautiful natural material unchanged to the touch. The legs are made of sand casting, following the noblest Tuscan artisan tradition. Their shape and sheen contrast with the heaviness of the material and its special crafting process showcasing the wisdom of the master foundry workers. Each table shows the “Missing Piece” (“Pezzo Mancante” in Italian): a small brass cylinder containing a unique serial number, guarantees its authenticity and individuality. Custom sizes are also available to suit every preference. All our masterpieces are meticulously crafted in our Atelier located in Florence, Italy, from a small team of people driven by a shared passion for quality and beauty.
