Short description
Waterproof Blue is a premium polymer-modified, VOC-free, water-based liquid membrane engineered for comprehensive foundation and floor protection. Roller- or brush-applied to create a monolithic, flexible, crack-bridging waterproof barrier for foundation walls, concrete slabs, basement floors and external surfaces. It blocks vapour transmission, resists UV degradation and is suitable for both new construction and retrofit projects.

Suitable substrates & general use
Designed as a replacement for traditional DPC/DPM plastic membranes. Can be applied to top of block & beam floors, upstands of kicker blocks, foundation walls, concrete slabs and other areas where a seamless watertight and airtight barrier is required.

Application (summary)

• STEP 1 – Fill joints between surfaces and drain/tubes with a paintable waterproof sealant. If joints are < 5 mm, enlarge before applying the sealant.
• STEP 2 – Apply Waterproof Blue with a long-haired roller or paintbrush in two coats. Coverage in 2 layers is minimum 800 g/m² (approximately 2 layers of ~400 g/m² each), depending on substrate roughness. Apply second layer crosswise when the first layer has dried; check for complete coverage.
• STEP 3 – When the second layer has dried (24 to 48 hours after application), tiling can be applied as the finish. Suitable tiling adhesives include cement glue class C2 or dispersion glue class D2TE to EN12004.
