Description
Ashlar is comprised of pieces that are 3, 4, 5 and 6 inches wide and 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 of an inch thick.
Each piece is connected to a backerboard of 12mm baltic birch plywood using small dowels and secured with wood glue, a construction mastic, or (careful) screws.
Nominal panel sizes will vary depending on wall dimensions and designer preference. Pieces can be finished in multiple ways including, wood grain, solid colors, or a textured finish.
Assembly is simplified using a number system whereas each piece as well as the backerboard is manufactured with a number. This makes this panel a cinch to install as it is just like a "paint by the numbers" painting.
