Description

Overview
Rectangular stainless steel channels are linear drainage systems engineered for industrial kitchens and other hygiene-critical environments. Constructed entirely from AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, these channels facilitate cleaning, resist corrosion and are suitable for repeated sanitation cycles.

Key features and functionality
These closed, wide and shallow channels include an internal slope and direct outlets from the channel base. They incorporate removable traps and strainers or collection baskets to retain solids and debris. Surface gratings can be slotted, perforated or bar-type, with anti-slip options for wet areas. Outlets may be positioned along the base according to site requirements.

Applications
Designed for hotel and restaurant kitchens, catering facilities, supermarket fish counters, pharmaceutical laboratories and healthcare areas where stringent cleaning and disinfection are required. Suitable for any facility needing controlled, fast wastewater evacuation.

Design and hydraulic considerations
The channels are sized to balance capacity and integration into floor finishes. An internal slope (recommended 1%–2%, i.e. 1–2 cm per metre) prevents stagnation and backflow. Use Q = A × V to estimate flow (Q in m³/s, A cross-sectional area in m², V average water velocity in m/s). Select outlet diameters (common DN75, DN110, DN160) to match hydraulic and site constraints.

Advantages
  • Premium material: AISI 304 or AISI 316 for corrosion and chemical resistance.
  • Total hygiene: internal geometry without dead corners or unnecessary welds to simplify cleaning and reduce bacterial hotspots.
  • Customization: lengths, widths, depths and gratings tailored to project requirements.
  • Efficient installation: modular design and dedicated accessories to reduce assembly time.
  • Low maintenance: polished finish and removable gratings for straightforward cleaning.
  • Discrete aesthetics: clean, professional finish suitable for visible installations.

Availability and logistics
Standard widths and configurations are held in stock for rapid delivery; lead times typically 24–48 hours for common items, with some destinations indicated 24–72 hours. Custom items are made to order.
