Short descriptionINZA PD polymer concrete drainage channel with D400 ductile iron grates, prefabricated in 1000 mm sections for buried installation. Designed for collection of runoff from paved platforms using a dual-slope system; suitable for areas with heavy truck traffic. Grates are bolted to galvanized steel side profiles and sections join via tongue-and-groove connections that can be sealed for watertight installation.
Main features- Material: polymer concrete (mixture of aggregates and resins) for high mechanical resistance and reduced weight.
- Grates: ductile iron, load class D400, grate length 500 mm, black paint finish.
- Grate fixing: grates bolted to galvanized steel side profiles (4 screws per grate).
- Section length: prefabricated 1000 mm sections; each section uses 2 grates (500 mm each).
- Connections: tongue-and-groove joint for quick alignment and optional watertight sealing.
- Outlet preparation: pre-marked knock-out points for outlet openings to connect drainage pipes.
- Hydraulics: low surface roughness improves flow velocity and hydraulic capacity and promotes sediment transport (self-cleaning effect).
Variants / dimensions (examples)- Channel Width 130 mm — External: 130 x 150 x 1000 mm; Internal width: 100 mm (P130RF).
- Channel Width 200 mm — External: 200 x 170 x 1000 mm; Internal width: 150 mm (P200RF).
- Channel Width 250 mm — External: 250 x 180 x 1000 mm (P250RF).
- Channel Width 300 mm — External: 300 x 210 x 1000 mm; Internal width: 250 mm (P300RF).
- Channel Width 350 mm — External: 350 x 210 x 1000 mm; Internal width: 300 mm (P350RF).
Applications- Areas exposed to truck and heavy vehicle traffic: loading bays, paved platforms, service yards and industrial zones.
- Linear drainage solution as alternative to point drains and gully traps when high hydraulic capacity and heavy-load resistance are required.
Advantages of polymer concrete- High mechanical resistance with lower weight compared to conventional concrete.
- Non-porous surface limits erosion from drained liquids.
- Low roughness coefficient leads to improved hydraulic performance and smaller required channel sizes.
- Improved sediment transport contributing to a self-cleaning effect.
