Model 1020 was a typical plywood chair commonly installed in theatres and opera houses throughout the United States. The chairs shown here were restored for Cornell University, Bailey Hall. Work included:
Stripping and cleaning of all cast iron & steel components prior to powder coating (painting)
Conversion of existing chair standards to work with new No. 17 wood bottom seats
Stripping and sanding of armrests prior to staining
Stripping and sanding of backs prior to staining
Addition of upholstered pads on the existing backs
Addition of ADA compliant aisle standards and movable bases
New row letter and seat number plates
New low voltage aisle lights
