The challenge of this project lay in partitioning an old building with small rooms off in terms of fire protection so that as little exhibition space as possible was lost and at the same time an as open, bright and modern design as possible was ensured for the gallery. Therefore double winged T30 RS/ EI30 sliding doors were installed on the two upper floors, which meet in a 90° angle without supports. Due to the high demand on the visual appearance the doors were additionally fitted with outlet shutters. In all of Europe Jansen was the only company who dared to take up this challenge.
This special construction can be executed as T30/ EI30 and T90/ EI90 and as a smoke protection version. Additionally, in case of little lateral space, the corner solution can be executed with T30/ EI30 and T90/EI90 telescopic sliding doors.
