Description

Short description
Thixotropic intermediate coating glaze Protect-Gel, ready for use for initial and re-coating of raw, weathered, glazed and colourless coated wood surfaces. Combines deep penetration of special oils with thixotropic, non-drip application characteristics.

Application
Single-pot system, ready to use for new and maintenance coatings on raw, weathered, glazed or colourless coated wood. Suitable for fully dimensionally stable elements (doors, window frames) and less dimensionally stable timber components (soffits, façade cladding, wooden ceilings, pergolas, garden sheds, timber houses, balcony cladding, carports, handrails).

Drying
At 23°C and 60% relative humidity: dust-dry after 5–6 hours, ready for overcoating after overnight drying, fully dry after approx. 24 hours.

Shade
Colourless (*), Pine, Light Oak, Teak, Walnut, Rosewood. *Colourless: no UV protection unless used together with a coloured glaze. White, Old Pine, Ash and Dark Oak available on request. On-site tinting with a paint blender possible; blended glazes have a best before date of 12 months from preparation. Verify shades prior to use; wood intrinsic colouring may affect final hue.
