Kooltherm Pipe Insulation is an insulation solution for pipework in building services and HVAC applications. It is one of the thinnest and most thermally efficient products commonly available for the insulation of pipework. Offering excellent fire and smoke performance, Kooltherm Pipe Insulation is suitable for mild steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, multiplex and plastic pipework.

Technical Information & Compatibility

• Kooltherm Pipe Insulation comprises sections of Kooltherm (phenolic) insulation faced with a factory-applied foil vapour barrier jacket autohesively bonded to the insulation core during manufacture.
• Suitable for a wide range of pipe materials including mild steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, multiplex and plastic pipework.
• For stainless steel pipework, the pipe should be foil wrapped (with pure aluminium foil) prior to applying insulation (irrespective of insulation choice) as recommended by stainless steel industry guidance.
• Kooltherm Pipe Insulation for copper includes passivated, impregnated liner technology, creating a fully bore coated product that complies with building services specifications requiring bore coated products (no additional protection measures required prior to installation).
