TURINO®-FD - Sealing Tape for Use in Wet Drywall Plastering
The sealing tape (also stucco tape, plaster tape) TURINO®-FD prevents zigzag cracks in drywall wet plaster. In addition, an adhesive edge is always available for the application of a protective film against soiling. The self-adhesive sealing tapes are made of a tight, closed-cell foam material, which prevents water absorption.
TURINO®-FD is 35 mm wide, with an adhesive strip 10 mm wide on each side of the sealing tape. The latter are placed point-symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the support.
Technical data:
structure: - closed-cell polyethylene foam
Tensile strength (DIN 53571): - longitudinal 0.44N/mm², transverse 0.34 N/mm².
Elongation (DIN 53571): - longitudinal 160%, transverse 145
Tear propagation strength (DIN 53571): - longitudinal 2.9 N/mm, transverse 1.9 N/mm
Thermal conductivity: - 0.035 W/mK
Temperature limits: - -80° C to +100° C
Precipitation free: - yes
Mineral oil resistant: - good
Resistance to aging: - very good
Water absorption: - none
The plaster adhesive tapeTURINO®-FD can be glued on a base, for example a window or door frame, while the other side has an adhesive surface for the protective film, similar to double-sided adhesive tape.
Double thickness from 3 mm to 6 mm. (bold) If you are working on construction sites where a thicker seal is required, stick one adhesive edge to the desired substrate and simply fold the TURINO-FD. With the gluing point, to which the cover foil is normally attached, you thus obtain a firm connection from foam to foam. The TURINO-FD is thus thickened from 3 mm to 6 mm.
