The Model 33 ceiling lamp is a beautiful example of how the pleating craftsmanship has been able to manifest itself in a viable design. Although the lamp was designed in the mid-1960s, the design still lasts.
Back then, the lamp shade was not only used for hanging in the ceiling, but could also be mounted on a three-legged veneer base and thus used as a table lamp.
American designer Robert Kasal worked in the office of Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard-Neilsen in the 1960s where he assisted in the development of several LE KLINT models that went into production.
After returning to the United States he designed additional LE KLINT lamp models under his own name.
