Three different layers create an elegant game of overlays in the Kalende family of tables designed by Enzo Berti. A thin metal plate constitutes the first ‘layer’ – at floor level – and defines the elegant horizontal base that gives stability to the product. The important marble element that supports the top is placed perpendicularly on this base and extends along the entire length of the top, in correspondence with the middle: it has a polygonal section, tapered at both ends, and is enhanced by the insertion of a thin central line, also metal, which acts as both a decorative motif and a structural frame. The top can be rectangular or circular, in different sizes, and stands transversally to the base, combining great balance and lightness. Available in eight types of marble, Kalende can be used as a dining or meeting table.
