In the ancient Nordic language, the name “ARN“ translates as eagle – a powerful hunter with elegant flying qualities. Physical strength and optical slenderness are therefore suitable characteristics to describe ARN. In addition to the clear-cut chairs, the designers Antonio Scaffidi and Mads K. Johansen (†) created a table series with matching design aesthetics meeting the same criteria. Thanks to the clean lines and the rounded edges, the tables have the same recognition value. Here, wood and plastic enter into an harmonious: unusually clear-cut tables with the legs screwed to the table top through linking plates. But no matter what construction Arn is based on: The legs can be combined with round, rectangular or square table tops, thus accompanying the seating furniture in a variety of harmonious ways. Clean lines, rounded edges, following the form of the legs – a table as design object. Its design language closely matches that of the namesake seating series. This series comes with flat screwed-on plates to connect the either wooden or aluminium legs to the table top for a lightweight appearance.
