One of the oldest forms of storage are baskets of various shapes and materials. The first finds date back to 10,000 BC. Whether in Europe, Africa or Asia, baskets can be found everywhere in a great variety of forms and their own design language. The Bien basket is inspired by fine Vietnamese baskets that were used to store food. The weaving material is seaweed, a particularly rapidly renewable resource that exudes a wonderfully natural fragrance. Bien can stand in the bathroom area for linen or towels, but just as well be filled in the living area with blankets or objects that should not be in the field of vision.
