CONCEPTION : although it might be evocative of certain metal modular systems from the office world, Dita clearly distances itself from these in a number of ways: its lacquered panels are in wood rather than sheet metal; its discreet profiled uprights with their sophisticated finish are perfectly placed, cast and not part of the structure; a matching handle which is light and beautifully designed; and its small, slim feet which continue the line of the structure in a very natural way. QUALITY OF MANUFACTURE & FINISHES: uprights are in 15 x 15 mm anodised aluminium section in a brushed bronze finish. These frame the wooden panels which are finished in argile lacquer on the interior faces and in a choice of 16 colours for all visible exterior faces: - satin white, argile and perle (standard), - beige, brique, chocolate, make-up, moutarde, sage, black, plomb, night blue, mahogany brown, copper, platinum grey (to order). All items are single-sided but are finished on the back (back panels and edges in argile lacquer). Certain items may be given an optional double-sided treatment, with the addition of a rear finishing panel. Handles are in injected zamak, lacquered bronze to co-ordinate with the uprights. Hinges are black. The feet H 30 mm continue the line of the uprights and incorporate a black jack. The new shelving unit, at H 189 cm the same height as the storage column, has shelves in a choice of 17 finishes: grey smoked glass, satin white/argile/perle lacquer, plus the 13 'to-order' lacquer colours (brique, bleu lavande, chocolat, moutarde, elephant, ranger, noir, bleu nuit, brun acajou, bleu gentiane, cuivre, gris platine).
