Description

The Savignyplatz in Berlin is an idyllic park and square named after jurist Friedrich Carl von Savigny. Savigny was hailed throughout Germany as the founder of modern jurisprudence and advocate of freedom and the publications from his desk remain prominent landmarks. It seems appropriate that designer Sebastian Hekner’s Savignyplatz desk carries the same freedom in its form and stature of it’s namesake. Designer Sebastian Herkner’s Savignyplatz desk is hewn by craftspeople in Bavaria in solid oak and finished in one of five stains with a satin lacquer. Custom requests for wood species, such as walnut or cherry, wood finishes, or solid surface materials are possible on request.
