Herringbone is a fascinating form, the legacy of old-fashioned floors, typical of prestigious spaces and buildings. In both the Italian and the Hungarian versions, they represent an exclusive and classically inspired laying choice, but are also perfect for modern spaces and more cosy environments.
Sophisticated classic design
Chevron flooring (Hungarian point parquet) is made by cutting the end of the board with a 45-degree angle, this allows the pieces to match up perfectly and create a continuous, almost sinuous flow. A style of great sophistication with echoes of the Middle-East. Herringbone flooring adds a regular geometry to the space in which it is laid: the head of the board keeps its 90-degree angle, creating a classic design that is a throwback to the Ancient Roman times.
Unique colours
Mardegan Legno offers you a vast array of colours to decorate your environments. Each nuance is hand-made by master artisans, making each surface the unique fruit of an auteur's touch.
Palatino
Noble and impressive, like the highest dignitaries from the Hungarian kingdom, from who the name derives. Palatino is evocative of the grand halls of the imperial palaces where every board is marked by time and each footfall echoes freely.
Engraved
We have called this type of surface Engraved because, through the skilled use of their tools, master craftsmen at Mardegan Legno work deeply into the wood to enhance its surface and to give each board a prestigious antique finish.
