Overview
The Kilta chair, designed by Olli Mannermaa in 1955, marks its 70th anniversary. Introduced as Finland's first plastic chair, Kilta is a noted Finnish design icon. The anniversary edition is fully upholstered in brown Elmosoft leather and fitted on a polished aluminium base. Each unit includes a commemorative plaque: "Martela Kilta chair anniversary - Design Olli Mannermaa 1955."

Designer
Interior architect Olli Mannermaa (1921–1998) designed the Kilta chair in 1955. Kilta was originally cast as a single piece of expanded plastic. The chair remains in production and is part of museum collections.
