the design of the modular lamp is based on the well-known no. 113 and no. 114 adjustable lamps, with which, among others, the many spaces in the bauhaus have been equipped. midgard, leaded by curt fischer, developed this modular draft into a lighting system during the 1920s to answer all needs of lighting within private and public life. please note that we have pre-selected some modular lamp configurations below. if you would like to configure your own modular midgard out of the modular system with three standard colours, choice of arms, armlength and five different lampshades, please visit our 3D configurator. please note that midgard has developed adapters for office desk systems (such as vitra, usm, system180 and others) to integrate the modular as well as the spring-balanced lighting system as easy plug-and-play to the table. he design of the modular lamp is based on the well-known no. 113 and no. 114 adjustable lamps, with which, among others, the metal workshop at the bau-haus was fitted.as in the past, the midgard lamps are defined by superior functionality, superb workmanship and inventiveness. the midgard modular lamp is still being built in the spirit of its inventor as a modular and configurable design and comes as :a table, wall, ceiling or floor lamp. customers can choose between differ-ent arm lengths and various types of lamp shades and colours, according to individual requirements.the lamps and all their parts are pro-duced in germany, using the original tools and techniques. final assemblance is made in hamburg.
