Description

Rediscovering and reinterpreting the timeless elegance of mosaic art combining precious geometrical patterns with thin and manageable tesserae of Piasentina stone. In only 10 millimeters of thick the stone mosaic enhances with elegance domestic spaces as well as reception areas; suitable in particular for wall-cladding and circular surfaces. millimetri4 combines the ancient tradition of mosaic art with extraordinary physical and mechanical properties of the Piasentina stone. Greek and Roman mosaics of natural stones date at the fourth century BC. The stone tesserae were used mainly in floor mosaics since they were resistant to wear. The most used are the limestones (Piasentina stone is a sedimentary rock limestone) because they are easier to work and because of their many shades of color. Mosaics are pre-assembled on a mesh backing with a dimension of 300x300mm, with pieces ranging in size from 25x25mm to 30x100mm. The gluing on a mesh backing facilitate the installation, and allows to cut it as needed to adapt to any design. IDEAL TO CLAD bathroom and kitchen walls, curved surfaces and floors, reception and high-profile spaces RECOMMENDED FOR interior wall-cladding, even on coated surfaces without removing the preexisting material PROVIDES simplicity, speed of installation and minimum thickness
