Name: The Eco-Tropicalia Client/Project: EcoArK Material: Natrilon™ and Recycled Steel In 2010, Miniwiz completed construction on the world-famous EcoArK. After its time as the pinnacle Flora Expo, during which the EcoArk pavilion was visited by over 8-9m people, it transitioned into museum and was handed over to Taipei City Government. As part of these modifications MIniwiz created many unique furniture items using its revolutionary material portfolio. Inspired by Patricia Urquiola’s Tropicalia collection, the stackable Eco-Tropicalia was built to be elegantly stored in an urban space with ease. Miniwiz modified the classic application using triangular cross section yarn to reflect light better through the construction of each chair. A classic Miniwiz efficiency trick of using a mechanical property to save chemicals application and inc erase material efficiency.
