Désir au Dôme was developed using a light and airy, plaited base, with a wool and acrylic blend, providing an incomparable downy feel. A metal leaf on the fabric that is available in three refined colourways, champagne, copper and Blue Misia, has been applied on the relief of the product, for an interesting metallic crossover. An alternative to the other famous cafés of Montparnasse in the années folles (crazy years)(such as the Closerie des Lilas, la Coupole or even La Rotonde), the café du Dôme, stood apart from the rest by its Anglo-American clientèle. Also frequented by famous or soon to be famous painters, sculptors, writers, poets, amateur artists and dealers, it was acknowledged as the intellectual meeting place of the Twenties and an informal market for artistic and literary destinies.
