When we began to think of Cynara, we imagined a person who knows low-strung afternoons of lounging and also has a keen eye for dressing up for drinks and dinner on the deck at night. With 1950s era low to ground profile and open architectural lines, the Lounge Chair traverses from informal to formal and back again without much trouble. Relaxed and elegant, we digitally cut this piece from sustainable hardwoods. We hand finish it with a plant-based hard wax oil with zero VOCs to romance the wood over time. Left to itself, Cynara ages to a refined silver-gray patina. So it’s no wonder Cynara knows how and when to chill or dress up. You can specify Cynara with numerous available fabrics and colors. We make it with locally Salvaged Elm or FSC® certified American Cherry hardwoods.
