Overview
PLC Studio is a light-touch work chair designed by Pearson Lloyd for shared and flexible workplaces where users move between tasks and spaces. A dynamic tilt mechanism beneath the seat provides controlled forward and backward movement, enabling natural postural change. The backrest pivots with the user while maintaining consistent lumbar support and returns to neutral when unoccupied. Designed to comply with EN1335.

Materials

• Base: Cast aluminium with polished aluminium or powder coat finish, gas lift mechanism and nylon castors.
• Seat: Moulded foam seat containing a proportion of recycled polymers; recycled content recorded and audited with chain of custody certified to ISCC Plus standard (full traceability).
• Upholstery: Available upholstered in a wide range of fabrics.

Sustainability
PLC Studio is designed for disassembly and features a removable cover to avoid glued assemblies. The outer cover can be replaced for refurbishment rather than replacing the entire chair. Upholstery assembly takes place in the Somerset factory using 100% renewable energy; FSC certification is available on request. The moulded foam seat includes recycled polymers, with ISCC Plus audited chain of custody for traceability. The product holds Indoor Advantage Gold certification and meets the VOC emission limits of ANSI/BIFMA e3 2019 (sections 7.6.1, 7.6.2 and 7.6.3).
