Powerplay™ PRO is a Point Elastic sports flooring for multi-sport gyms. It provides shock absorption values between 25% and 34% (Category P1 according to EN14904 standard). The floor consists of two layers of natural and synthetic rubber that are joined to an elastic supporting sublayer during production. In addition to its elasticity features, the product’s multilayer structure ensures the dimensional stability that is required for loose-laying, without having to glue it to the base layer. This speeds up fitting operations and retains the sports surface’s biomechanical properties for a longer period. Powerplay PRO’s three modulated density and hardness layers are joined together during the production process to form a single uniform sports surface. This ensures that the loads are evenly distributed, the energy is evenly returned and that the impacts produced during sporting activity are optimally absorbed. The top layer is compact and made of vulcanised rubber and has a surface layer with a smooth, non-slip, anti-reflective finish that ensures a perfect grip for pivot movements and for sudden direction changes. It’s vulcanised to a rubber supporting sublayer that improves its stability and shock absorption capacity. The lower layer is a stabilising and shock-absorbing base layer that is made of glass-fibre reinforced PVC foam. This provides shock absorption, energy return, elasticity and sound insulation features to the flooring. The material’s compactness and durability is given by the rubber vulcanisation process that slows down the hardening process that is typical of other synthetic materials.
