Overview
Designed by Verner Panton in 1971, the Panton Wire system is a lightweight, geometric and modular shelving system that can function as a shelf, bookcase, coffee- and bedside table or room divider. Raw yet elegant and light yet industrial, Panton Wire units can be used individually or combined, placed on the floor, hung on the wall, stacked or used as room dividers.

Design and history
Panton Wire was originally designed by Verner Panton and has re-emerged with new elements and tops added to the flexible system. The designer is Verner Panton.

Availability, colours and finishes

• Wire material: 5 mm wire available in Chrome and lacquered colours: Snow, Black, Monarch, Pine, Black Red, Rosehip, Tangerine (limited edition) and other finishes.
• Tops: available in multiple finishes including 12 mm lacquered MDF (New White, Black, Rosehip, Black Red, Pine), marble (White Marble, Black Marble) and other finishes. (Page notes: tops in 9 finishes.)

• Suspension rails (2 pcs.) for wall mounting.
• Feet (sets of 4) and small accessories such as clips for combination.

Performance and load capacity

• Panton Wire Single on the floor: can carry up to 40 kg.
• Panton Wire Single on the wall with a suspension rail: up to 10 kg.
• Panton Wire Extended on floor and wall: maximum 10 kg evenly placed at top and bottom.

Special editions and notes
The 100th anniversary limited edition (2026) is available in Tangerine (vibrant orange) as a tribute to Verner Panton; described as a limited anniversary edition available for a limited period. The Panton Wire system has new elements and tops added to the original design and can be arranged in many configurations.
