Description

William Morris's legacy continues today with Morris & Co. producing authentic versions of his original designs alongside fresh interpretations, using innovative print techniques to create wallpapers with timeless appeal. With new versions of classic designs like 'Acanthus', 'Daisy' and 'Strawberry Thief', reproduced in wallpaper for the first time, this is a collection to grow our appreciation of Morris's unrivalled artistry. View the complementary Archive II Prints collection. Daisy was the first wallpaper to be produced by Morris & Co. and was inspired by medieval illustrations. Morris created this design after embroidering daisy motifs on wallhangings for the Red House. This version retains the naively drawn daisies and ranunculuses of the wallpaper but has been simplified by the removal of background tufts of grass and is available in the original colourways.
