Description

From December 11th to 14th Rijeka hosted the 12th European Short Course Swimming Championships. Myrtha Pools won once again fame along with medals and records broken by the swimmers! The pools in the brand new and high class swimming centre were built by Myrtha Pools thanks to the well-known Myrtha Technology, that is more and more requested to grant the success of such international Big Sports Events. All the competitions took place in the 53 x 25 m pool with a water depth varying from 2.10 to 2.30 m, with 2 movable bulkheads and temporary end to reduce the pool length to 25 m. Furthermore there are a 25 x 10 m pool used for the warm-up and a 10 x 5 m pool partially built with the RenovAction Technology. This was a record edition not only for the most records ever broken during the competitions, but also in the number of participating countries: 530 swimmers from 40 of the 51 national member Federations of LEN were present in Rijeka. And Myrtha Pools thanks to its Myrtha Technology had a share in the 17 world records and 31 European ones.
