A predominantly beige-yellow shade for an ecru-like effect
The Santorini hand-moulded facing brick is part of the Nuance range of Nelissen Brickworks. This hand-moulded facing brick is made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley and revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel. The facing brick (non-perforated) is sanded on five sides and provided with an oblong sloping groove on one flat side (frog, group 1).
The structure is formed by a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere. The brick has a yellow surface. A predominately beige-yellow shade results in an ecru-like effect with some purple-brown nuances and white limescale deposits.
