The sides of the cylindrical ZigZag ashtray are perforated with a repeating pattern of zigzag shapes, reducing its weight without compromising its volume. The dynamic zigzag motif for which it is named is also a means of representing movement on two-dimensional surfaces. The ashtray can be paired with the ZigZag litterbin. Together, the two have a wide range of combination possibilities. The attachable version bolts to the post and the post bolts to the surface. The bolt-holes have a diameter of 10 mm for 8 mm bolts. Bolts are not included. The post for the ground-mounted version should be cast 40 cm below ground level. The wall-mounted version should be bolted to the wall with wood screws or expander bolts. Maintenance Polyester powder-coated steel can be treated with alkyd oil enamel as needed. Variants ZigZag can be combined with the ZigZag litterbin or paired with a rain cover. ZigZag is available in a wall-mounted version or with an attachable post that fits into a freestanding concrete base or can be cast in concrete.
