Description

The bed is a place everyone should look forward to. It is a place of longing and security. It is a place where one consciously rests and experiences are transformed into memories. The ZIANS Bed is such a place. It breaks through everyday life and offers an intimate space of dreamy cosiness. Natural sleeping is at the centre of the design and can be found without restriction in all design decisions. The ZIANS Bed is the conscious choice for a peaceful and healing retreat. The wood creates an optical and haptic contrast to the fluffy ceiling and conceals naturalness in itself. The clear form is the solid foundation for an island of pure security, which defies the worries of everyday life as well as the cold night air. Design: Jacques Zians, 2018 Material: waxed ash, waxed oak, waxed walnut Ash, waxed Origin: Austria / FSC® seal, seal of quality for responsible forestry. The FSC® seal is considered the best and most credible certification system for forests. Ash wood is a heavy and hard precious wood with excellent strength properties. It is elastic, abrasion-resistant and more durable than most other native wood species. Although the wood is so robust, it has a light and modern appearance due to its light colouring. The grain is floral and particularly pronounced. The wood wax used underlines the natural and fine feel of the ash and protects the precious wood. As wood is a natural product, the grain differs from bed to bed and makes every object unique.
