is a special enamel created with acrylic resins and mica pigments that give the treated surface an aged, wrought iron finish. The particular tile structure of these mica pigments, creates a barrier against atmospheric agents and U.V. rays thus avoiding the deterioration of the substrate. It is highly recommended in environments with aggressive climates and it is ideal for the protection of gates, railings and urban fittings. The product has excellent dilation and does not run during application, characteristics that give it very good coverage even on irregular surfaces. The product has a low level of odour, is non – inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Ideal Use On iron, wood, walls, zinc, PVC etc. in interiors and exteriors surfaces. Surface Preparation Clean the surface and remove detaching parts. Grease or oil must be removed with appropriate products. On iron: sand down with fine sandpaper, if rust is present apply a coat of NOVALIS RUST CONVERTER and one coat of NOVALIS ANTI-RUST by OIKOS. On wood: sand down and apply one coat of NOVALIS FILLING AGENT by OIKOS. When dry sand with fine sandpaper. Application Method After the surface has been correctly prepared, apply two coats of undiluted NOVALIS IRON FINISH, by brush or roller, waiting 4-5 hours between coats.
