The new OMA RIAA phono stage has all the trappings of an instant classic. Like all OMA products, it is hand built. Starting with the chassis- 1 inch thick solid Pennsylvania black walnut, fashioned with dovetailed joints done by hand with a Japanese saw, and finished with hand rubbed pure Tung oil. The top plate is honed slate, and the chassis itself is built on very heavy gauge solid steel, waterjet cut. Soldered by hand, the OMA RIAA eq is extraordinarily accurate, and is DC coupled to the driver stage. The power supply is housed in a separate chassis to isolate the signal chain. A heavy umbilical cord with professional connectors runs between the units. The circuit is dual wide band, high gain and low z output. It will easily drive almost any amplifier directly, including all OMA power amplifiers. Tube compliment for the OMA RIAA is one 6X5GT rectifier, two 5755 and two 5965. These are superior tubes given the proper circuit and allow the user a wide choice, in the case of the 5965, of tube brands at very low cost for experimentation, unlike ECC83/12AX7 types. Multiple inputs for both MM and MC are available.
