Overview
Link™ MOD offers modular escalator modernisation packages from Otis designed to meet current safety standards, increase reliability and provide contemporary aesthetic options. Solutions are factory-assembled to reduce onsite welding and shorten installation time, and can be adapted to building constraints and project budgets. The approach targets efficient modernisation while preserving the existing truss where appropriate.

Packages
Link™ MOD is available in multiple upgrade packages so customers can select the scope and investment level for their project:

• Link MOD Prime — Standard upgrades include a new electronic controller, electrical wiring and safety kits. Options include variable frequency drive (VFD), Otis ONE™ digital platform, self-adjusting handrail system (SAHS), handrail UV sanitising/automatic cleaning devices, intermittent operation, smart lubrication systems and LED lighting.
• Link MOD Plus — Includes all Prime components plus a new machine and main drive chain to enhance ride quality and reliability. Additional items cover auxiliary brake (standard for rises above 6 m), handrail components, handrail drive, steps/step chain/rollers, combs and floor plates.
• Link MOD Pro — Comprehensive modernisation retaining the truss and cladding where possible to shorten installation and reduce onsite hazards. Standard components include controller and wiring, direct-drive machine and main drive, safety kits, steps/chain/rollers, handrail assemblies, combs/floor plates and tension carriage. Options mirror Prime and Plus choices.
• Link MOD Full Replacement — Complete escalator replacement: installation of a new escalator in the existing space to comply with the latest standards.
