This modular rug is produced by joining a variable number of stripes lengthwise. Each stripe has a width of 20 cm and is composed of wool cords in different solid or mélange colours, which are sewn together lengthwise as well. The stripes so produced have different lengths and are sewn together with Punto Zigzag to form the surface of the rug. Between the different parts composing the stripe, a wool cord is sewn perpendicularly. The number of stripes varies according to the dimension of the rug. The border features a wool cord all along the perimeter in the predominant colour of the rug.
