This version of the set was created from the copy kept at the MAD Paris, as well as a screen on which the original set was installed.One can clearly distinguish The Chatelet fountain in front of the Louvre, the church of Saint Sulpice, the Palais Bourbon, The Tuileries garden,Notre-Dame de Paris the Palais Mazarin, the Porte Saint Denis.
This panoramic is a walk along the Seine. Its bright and cheerful colors make it a magnificent decoration that could be placed in a living room as well as a passage.
This digital restoration and recomposition by our workshop, which took place over several months, offers an unparalleled pictorial quality, allowing to recover the drawings and colors of the original decor.
The original set was created in 1812 and included 30 strips, printed in 80 colors. It required the engraving of 2062 woodblocks. It is possible that Joseph Dufour himself was the designer of the set.
