Description

We also build complete staircases matching our flooring range to customer requirements on request. Stair treads are available in two versions, using two or multi-layer planks or solid wood. Layered planks make it possible to provide treads that are identical to the flooring materials with regard to both grain and colour; in fact, the visible part can be made from solid or single-layer plank, while the underlayer is in multi-layer birch cross-ply. The planks are dove-tailed together to guarantee absolutely flat, long-lasting stair treads. When solid wood is used, the step is built using various board widths glued together. We also manufacture box steps which hide any metal support structure. The visible tread nosing is available in traditional bull nose or square nose versions; as an alternative we also supply stair structures where treads and risers are assembled without nosing.
