The Bus-Monitor from PEAKnx enables unexpected problems in building automation to be quickly identified and eliminated. No matter whether short telegram sequences or long-term logging over several days – the Bus-Monitor records all telegrams that are transmitted on a KNX bus and offers many advantages for recording your bus communication, thanks to its overview in table form. The navigation of the Bus-Monitor comprises 5 areas – Bus monitor, Filter, Connection, Setting and Help. In addition, you can find information on the current projects and the accompanying connection status at the top right. The tabular overview displays all the traffic in the KNX network, including all telegrams that are sent with the Bus-Monitor. “Request” and “Response” are thereby displayed in the table and the respective telegrams, including feedback, allocated to the table. In addition to the excellent overview of the KNX applications, the Bus-Monitor likewise supports a self-learning mode. While the KNX network is being monitored, all the physical addresses used in the KNX telegrams are processed and saved. These yield valuable information that is used in certain KNX installations. Other special features of the Bus-Monitor are its filter options, and the data export and the e-mail dispatch of CSV files. “Advanced Filter Settings” enables you to use different filters for a wide variety of applications of the Bus-Monitor. The advantage of the Bus-Monitor is that several filters can also be used in parallel. It is thereby likewise possible to save and access the filter rules in an uncomplicated way.
