Description

Requires a freestanding or wall mount tub filler (no deck area) Faucet sold separately Pure Metal Polished Copper Exterior Cast iron tub with pure white, thick gloss enamel interior Tub drain FD02 included 'The Bordeaux-PC-59' 59" Cast Iron Chariot Tub with PURE METAL Polished Copper Exterior and Drain The 'Bordeaux' is a simply gorgeous Chariot Plinth bathtub. Blending the best of vintage European and contemporary American design, Penhaglion found true inspiration from the first Chariot tubs made by Rogeat in France in the mid-1800's. The St.Petersburg, Florida based designers at Penhaglion then created a fabulous plinth for it to sit upon, making it a truly exclusive, beautiful and unique bathtub. Combining their own artistic tendencies and extensive engineering knowledge, Penhaglion designers employed another process, originally patented in the 1880's and later perfected in the aerospace industry, to bond liquid copper onto the exterior of the cast iron and present the beautifully finished polished copper forged appearance seen on the 'Bordeaux'. This listing is for the 59" version of the 'Bordeaux' (the photo shows the 67" size). While the tub is supplied in two pieces, tub and base, for easy handling and installation, it looks like a single piece. The tub shape offers very deep bathing in a sitting up position. It is amply sized for most single bathers.
