To develop this collection we were inspired by the French era known as La Belle Époque, which covered the last decade of the 19th Century up to the outbreak of the First World War. It was a time of optimism and ambitious prospects, with huge progress in the Sciences and technological innovation, within which numerous artistic movements broke with established norms. Avant-garde movements such Expressionism, Fauvism and Modernism surged forward and resulted in a pictorial record which greatly influenced 20th Century Art. In keeping with this theme, we present diverse jacquard velvets, floral embroideries and Toiles de Jouy with a vintage look and a French feel, highly suitable for both traditional and contemporary décor.
