OverviewPilkington HortiGrow™ 94 is a single-sided anti-reflective (pyrolytic) coating applied to float glass to significantly increase light transmission. The coating combines a high-transmittance base glass with a durable pyrolytic layer to produce very low reflectance on the coated face, optimising usable light for horticultural environments.
PerformanceEngineered to improve both direct and hemispherical transmission (a measure of light transmission across all incidence angles) to better replicate solar movement. The reduced reflectance on the coated side increases the amount of useful light reaching plant canopies, supporting growth uniformity and light distribution.
Processing and compatibilityThe glass can be toughened, bent and laminated. The pyrolytic coating delivers long-term durability for the lifetime of the glass and can be combined with additional functionalities (for example low-iron base glass, acoustic or solar control layers) while maintaining or enhancing light and hemispherical transmission.
ApplicationsIntended for botanical and horticultural glazing such as greenhouse roofs and facades where maximising transmitted light and reducing reflection are required.
