Machined foam board with an MDF structure 595x595mm
The Acústica XXI ceilings, produced and manufactured by Castelhano & Ferreira and tested by both the Department of Acoustics – Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and LNEC, ensure a perfect acoustic treatment.
Combining technique and aesthetic, we provide architects and engineers with a vast range of perforations and finishings.
Each space has very specific needs in terms of acoustic conditioning. In the case of a restaurant, the
solution almost always implies using sound absorption, whereas other more complex areas such as
concert halls and theatres require specific acoustics projects.
Acoustic treatment panels manufactured by Castelhano & Ferreira, S.A. establish a perfect relation
between the need to reflect and absorb sound, creating balanced spaces in terms of acoustics.
Wood has once again a key role regarding the interior finishing, particularly in ample spaces where the
need for more pleasant and comfortable spaces is significant. Manufactured in fire-retardant MDF
(with M1 characteristics, according to standards UNE 23727 and B-s2-d0, UNE-EN 13501-1), Acústica
XXI panels and boards meet that need, while performing at the acoustic treatment level. They also
provide a high level of fire resistance, allowing its assembly in all types of buildings. The back of the
board has an acoustic screen, also with fire-retardant characteristics.
Combining different types of perforation with the available finishings, Acústica XXI solutions are also
aesthetically attractive, allowing the creation of differentiated environments
