Overview
Rekortan GEL GT is a gel-based polyurethane (PU) track surface engineered for competition athletics. The system features a gel base made from over 60% renewable raw materials and is classified as Layer type E (DIN EN 14877). A PU flow coating top layer embedded with EPDM granules delivers high spike resistance and strong colour stability. The in-situ processed gel compensates for substrate unevenness, producing a flat track and consistent force reduction across extreme temperatures to support high acceleration.
