Overview
Polytan PolyBase GT / -ET is an elasticizing base layer developed as part of Polytan's Green Technology portfolio. It combines in-situ produced elastic layers with ecological benefits through the use of recycled rubber granulate and a polyurethane binder based on cardyon®, reducing reliance on fossil raw materials.
Key technology
PolyBase GT uses cardyon®, a polyurethane raw material produced by Covestro that incorporates up to 20% natural carbon dioxide as a raw material for plastics production, thereby reducing fossil resource use. In PolyBase GT / -ET cardyon® is used for the permanently elastic bonding of rubber granulates. The system also uses rubber granulate from post-consumer recycling (ELT), improving the ecological balance of the elastic layer.
